In this installment of the series, James Madison University quarterback Vad Lee executes a four vertical concept against SMU. The play illustrates the quarterback’s ability to remain calm and work through a full-field progression read, and make a big play in the vertical passing game. It also provides a chance to compare his execution of the design with North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz, who was highlighted running the same play in a previous installment of First Sound:
