Draft Day, Trade Day? Mock

The 2016 NFL Draft is nearly here, and if you’ve listened to our Mock War Room podcasts then you know how tough draft day decisions can be. With all the scouting reports researched, and the team needs studied,  it’s time to draft. We’re proud to present Shane Alexander 1st round mock, with trades!

With the 2016 NFL Draft just hours away, I wanted to take a look at how the 1st round might play out if we consider some possible trades. Usually, I don’t predict trades, but we know that undoubtedly they will happen and, when they do, they will create ripples throughout not only the 1st round, but the rest of the draft.

Some non-trade rumors we’ve heard and should consider:

  • Ronnie Stanley to the Chargers
  • Leonard Floyd to the Jaguars
  • Paxton Lynch potentially going as high as #7 or falling out of the 1st round completely
  • Myles Jack falling because of fears of his knee injury, both short and long term
  • 1st round surprises such as Notre Dame wide receiver Will Fuller and Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg

The thing to remember tonight: Mock Drafts are useless after the San Diego Chargers get on the clock. But in my last attempt to predict the madness, below is what I think the 1st round could look like if and when several of the rumored big trades take place:
