Jacoby Brissett: 2016 NFL Draft QB To Know

Draft season never ends. Teams are have set their scouting assignments for next season and Mark Schofield has a look at the top QBs available in the 2016 NFL draft, continuing with Jacoby Brissett.

Jacoby Brissett – North Carolina State

In late September, NFL scouts descended upon Raleigh to see Jameis Winston in Florida State’s game against North Carolina State, but those scouts likely left town with more notes about his counterpart in the contest. Brissett turned in an impressive display during that game, throwing for more than 350 yards and three touchdowns against the Seminoles. Athletic feats like this one left veteran broadcaster Sean McDonough comparing him at times to both Fran Tarkenton and Ben Roethlisberger:

You can probably understand why.

Brissett finished 2014 by completing 60% of his passes for 2,606 yards and 23 touchdowns against only five interceptions. He is experienced operating both from under center and in the shotgun, and is an extremely elusive passer who can extend plays with his feet. With good size (6-foot-4, 231 pounds), play strength, athleticism and arm strength, Brissett enters the 2015 season a very intriguing prospect.
