October 28 Quick Kicks Podcast- The Resurgence of Thomas Morstead

Fridays give us a chance to cover players that receive little publicity unless they screw up, the punters and kickers of the NFL. On the October 28 Quick Kicks Podcast Chuck Zodda and Mark Schofield look at the play of New Orleans Saints punter Thomas Morstead. Morstead had a rough 2015 with several shanks throughout the year, but 2016 has been a different story for him. His traditional stats show an above average punter while his advanced stats show one of the best in the league at not allowing returns and also incredible consistency with only three below average punts so far. Other topics include:

  • The play of Saints punter Thomas Morstead after a rough 2015 season (2:11)
  • What has changed about Morstead’s game that has led to this improvement (4:25)
  • Morstead’s four punts inside the 20 against Kansas City in Week 7 (7:24)
