Mark Schofield on RSP Film Room: Carson Wentz

Carson Wentz starts the 2015 FCS season as the quarterback of the defending champion and #1 ranked North Dakota State Bison. If things go right for him this season, he should be taken in next year’s NFL draft.

Inside The Pylon head writer Mark Schofield was the guest on the Rookie Scouting Portfolio Film Room podcast with Matt Waldman, where the two self-described football nerds examined North Dakota State Quarterback Carson Wentz. They use the film from the Football Championship Subdivision title game against the Illinois State Redbirds.

Mark and Matt discuss Wentz’s ability to climb the pocket, mobility, solid food work, and quick release. Schofield and Waldman also break down Wentz’s ability make plays on the move, his proficiency in the scramble drill, and the traits that make the senior QB a likely NFL quarterback.
